Selston FC Generates Over £516,000 in Annual Social Value

A new Social Value Impact Report has revealed that Selston FC delivers more than £516,000 of social value every year to the local community.

The report found that for every £1 invested in the club, £4.91 of social value is returned through health and wellbeing benefits, volunteering, and community engagement.

Selston FC currently supports more than 210 players across 13 junior teams and 2 senior teams, backed by around 40 volunteers and coaches.


At the Heart of the Community

Selston FC is more than just a football club. For generations, the club has been at the heart of the local community, bringing people together and providing a safe, positive environment for players, families, and supporters.


From junior football to senior teams, the club plays an important role in creating opportunities for young people, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and building a strong sense of local pride and belonging.


Key Findings

  • £315,000 in health and wellbeing impact.
  • £96,000 generated through volunteering.
  • £105,000 in wider community and social impact.


The report reinforces the importance of protecting grassroots football facilities and supporting clubs like Selston FC, which continue to deliver major value both on and off the pitch.
